Marjan Park

Marjan Park, often referred to as the lungs of Split, is a beautiful green forest park oasis located on the western end of the city. The entrance closest to the city center is about 200 meters above the Riva and can be accessed via the Marjan Stairs or through the charming streets of Varoš (for the best experience, try using one on the way up and the other on the way down). The First Viewpoint on Marjan is right on top of the stairs and provides a great view of the city.

The park features many paths and trails that are great for scenic walks, hiking, mountain biking, and much more. The street Marangunićevo Šetalište is a great street that will let you see many interesting landmarks in Marjan.

Just by following it, you will find the Church of St. Nicholas the Traveler and St. Jerome’s Church, see many amazing views, and can always take a short detour on the street Marjanski Put or take the 314 steps that will lead you all the way to Telegrin, which is the top of the hill with an altitude of 178 meters.

Šetalište Marina Tartaglie will let you see the other side of the park, offering great views of Kozjak Hill and Kaštela right underneath it. You can also see the beautiful Bene Beach along the way.

If you enjoy road cycling, roller skating, or simply long walks through pine trees and beautiful sea scenery, combining Šetalište Marina Tartaglie and Šetalište Ivana Meštorvića will give you a long scenic walk or ride alongside the edges of Marjan Park, including a great view of the Kašjuni Beach.
