Bačvice Beach

Bačvice Beach (Croatian: Plaža Bačvice) is located about 500 meters away from the center of Split; it is the closest beach to the center, the most famous, and the most popular beach in Split.
It is a shallow, sandy beach; it will take you a couple of minutes of walking before you can swim. Picigin is often played on Bačvice, as the beach is the birthplace of the game itself.
The beach features showers and changing rooms, but no toilets. You will find many beach bars, discos, and restaurants along the beach. Umbrellas, sunbeds, and jet skis are available for rent. Parking spots are very limited compared to the popularity of the beach.
Kašjuni Beach

Kašjuni Beach (Croatian: Plaža Kašjuni) is located just below the western part of Marjan Park, about 3,2 kilometers away from the center of Split. It’s in a bay that looks like a boomerang when viewed from above and is protected from high waves from the south. It’s a fine pebble beach, but you can find stones in the deeper parts and on the northern side of the beach.
The beach features showers, toilets, parking, and a bar. Umbrellas, sunbeds, jet skis, kayaks, and taxi boats are available for rent during high season. Marjan Park offers a great view of Kašjuni Beach and the surrounding areas.
Žnjan Beach

Žnjan Beach (Croatian: Plaža Žnjan) is the largest beach in Split; it is located about 8 kilometers east of the center. It’s a pebble beach, with most of it being fine pebbles and rarely rocks. It frequently hosts concerts and festivals.
The beach features big parking, showers, toilets, changing rooms, a wheelchair-accessible area, a floating inflatable playground with slides and trampolines, and beach volleyball. Umbrellas and sunbeds are available for rent. It’s a very large beach that stretches more than a kilometer (3300 feet) in length, and as a result, it has a dozen mini coves.
Our drone photos reveal that Janjan Beach is currently undergoing development, with significant work underway and completion anticipated before summer 2025. Don’t worry, the building is only being done on the parking lot and other large areas; the sea entrances are all intact, and the beach is still fully functional.
Firule Beach
Firule Beach (Croatian: Plaža Firule) is located about 1.6 kilometers from the center of Split and sits in a small bay. It’s mostly a shallow sand beach, shallow enough to play picigin on. The beach features parking and showers.
Ježinac Beach
Ježinac Beach (Croatian: Plaža Ježinac) is located 3 kilometers west of the center of Split. It’s a pebble beach, mostly medium-sized pebbles, but you can also find stones on some parts of the beach.
The beach features showers, beach bars, and locker rooms.
Bene Beach

Bene Beach (Croatian: Kupalište Bene) is located beneath Marjan Park, about 3 kilometers away from the center of Split. It is mostly a rock-and-slab beach, with pebbles on some parts. Pine trees surround a couple of small bays that make up this beach.
The beach features showers, changerooms, toilets, a seaside restaurant and cafe, a lifeguard tower, and various playgrounds for children. You will also find tennis courts and a trampoline near the beach. Umbrellas and sunbeds are available for rent, but parking is very limited, and you will likely have to park a short walk from the beach. Note that there’s a city bus (number 12) that can take you directly to Bene Beach.
